TAU Crash Cushions

The TAU Crash Cushion Family includes a complete range of reusable crash cushions that are easy to install and easy to repair. The superior “TAU technology” design provides safe and consistent performance at a lower cost than other redirective solutions, making them a favorite among road authorities and contractors. TAU systems are available for MASH, NCHRP 350 and EN 1317 testing standards.
TAU-M Crash Cushion

The redirective, non-gating, universal TAU-M Crash Cushion has a compact, partially reusable design that’s easy to install, quick to repair onsite and includes numerous transition options. It’s an ideal crash cushion to shield most roadside and median hazards.

TAU-II-R Crash Cushion
NCHRP 350 acceptance
The redirective, non-gating, and universal TAU-II-R Crash Cushion is designed to shield almost any hazard. TAU II-R is ideal for high-risk applications that require a highly reusable system.

- Meets NCHRP 350 TL-1, TL-2 and TL-3 requirements to protect motorists at speeds up to 110 km/h (70 mph) from hazards that range from 700 mm - 2.6 m (27-102”)
- Hyperelastic (HE) Polyurethane Modules designed to withstand multiple design-capacity head-on impacts
- Can convert existing Universal TAU-II Partially Reusable Systems to TAU II-R Reusable Systems by simply installing Universal TAU-II-R Modules and TAU II-R Nose
- Utilizes same universal parts that are used with Universal TAU-II Systems to reduce inventory costs
- Minimum number of anchors

TAU-II Crash Cushion

The redirective, non-gating, universal TAU-II Crash Cushion Family consists of a full line of impact attenuators ideally suited for virtually all roadway hazards on asphalt or concrete roads. This family of crash cushions is available in lengths and capacities for both low- and high-speed applications from 50-113 km/h (30-70 mph) and widths up to 2.6 m (102").

TAU Crash Cushion
EN 1317 acceptance
This redirective, reusable crash cushion provides high performance, high reusability and speedy repair after impact that’s ideal for roadway hazards on almost all road types and can be installed on longitudinal cross slopes. The modular construction minimizes costs and decreases installation and repair times—and in turn exposure of operatives. Plus, it’s particularly resistant to side redirective impact damage and has low life cycle costs compared to others on the market, thus offering high overall performance at competitive prices.

TAU Tube™ Crash Cushion Family
EN 1317 acceptance
The TAU Tube redirective crash cushion family is designed following the best engineering solutions and innovative materials in order to ensure top-level performance. The telescopic architecture absorbs energy in a very limited space (less than 6 m) with a speed of 110 km/h, and the aluminum tubes are resistant to any kind of corrosion. The fixing bars anchor version allows the system to be reused, since it does not require new foundation work and the ground drilling operation.

- Galvanized steel frame with aluminum energy-absorbing modules
- Available lengths range from 2 m to 6 m
- Multiple widths to shield wider hazards up to 2600 mm
- Meets EN 1317-3 50, 80, 100 and 110 km/h test criteria in a 6m footprint
- Ideal for shielding concrete barriers, steel barriers, bridge piers, etc.
